ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide quality and courteous service to Casino players and guests.
- Acknowledge and greet customers and guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Take orders and collect payment from Casino players and guests.
- Assure that all orders are taken correctly and efficiently.
- Familiarity with POS ordering systems.
- Be completely familiar with sandwich preparation.
- Be familiar with beer, liquor and wine.
- Develop expertise in the use of the computer terminal system.
- Never indicate that a tip or gratuity is expected for service.
- Remove empty glassware and service items from the bar top.
- Be watchful for persons who appear to be under the legal drinking age limit.
- Maintain cleanliness in the snack bar service station.
- Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
- Be alert to recognize when a guest may have had enough to drink.
- Perform all other work-related duties as assigned by the Food and Beverage Shift Supervisor.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Previous sandwich/fast food operation experience preferred
- Previous experience in food and beverage operation
EDUCATION/FORMAL TRAINING
REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to determine and shift priorities quickly
- This position requires the ability to problem solve complex situations in an effective and efficient manner.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variable
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive working relationships
- Able to read, write, and speak English
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gardena City Work permit.
- Must have California Food Handlers Card
- Must obtain Responsible Beverage Service training and certification
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must have ability to safely lift minimum of 20 lbs. without restrictions.
- Requires standing and walking for long periods of time.
